II. One thing the Bible teaches: (The Lord continued to give instructions on how to conduct a sacrifice of peace offerings...)
1 ‘Now if his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings, if he is going to offer out of the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without defect before the Lord... 7 If he is going to offer a lamb for his offering, then he shall offer it before the Lord . . . 12 ‘Moreover, if his offering is a goat, then he shall offer it before the Lord . . .
III. Reflection
* Questions: What are, and what are not, different in the above three peace offerings?
IV. Application:
Dear Lord God, I thank You for teaching me about the peace offering--thanking You voluntarily for the specific blessing from You. To give thanks to You is to have fellowship with You and to be at peace with You. I thank You, Lord, for showing me that although the rich and poor offerors may offer different sacrificial animals (bulls or lambs or goats), what remained the same was that they all had the same attention from the Lord--all done before the Lord! Anyone can have peace with You and consequential fellowship with You. I thank You for bringing me to this point to remind me that the Lord Jesus was the perfect Lamb worthy to be sacrificed to bring peace, fellowship, and reconciliation between man and God. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your crucifixion was the peace offering for me (Romans 5:1). I give thanks for the Resurrection! I pray that the joy of the resurrection will be an everyday event for me. Amen
