Offered to be Accepted...

I. Click here to READ Leviticus 2 first.

II. One thing the Bible teaches(when anyone desired to make an offering to the Lord to express his gratefulness, he would prepare all that was specified for a grain offering. Then...)

2 He shall then bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests; and shall take from it his handful of its fine flour and of its oil with all of its frankincense. And the priest shall offer it up in smoke as its memorial portion on the altar, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

III. Reflection

QuestionsWhat was the grain offering for?

IV. Application:

Dear Lord God, I thank You for teaching me that the grain offering was to reflect someone's gratitude. Although it was a voluntary offering, the offering must be done with a purpose that it would be well accepted by the Lord. I thank You, Lord, for taking me to this point to remind me that at times I made my offering without even caring about whether You would accept it. Please forgive me for those times when I brought my offerings to You mindlessly or heartlessly. O God! Please train me so that when I do something or offer something to You, I will do it with a mindset that it matters if You accept it. I thank You for showing me how to meet Your acceptance standard (Heb 13:16)--that is to do good and share to help others. Please help me to show gratitude to You in my living. Today. Amen

Today, I pray for certain readers who have yet to extend their hands to accept the priceless gift of salvation, which was Your own life that You offered up to save humanity. O God! Let such brother or sister of mine receive You and begin living a life of gratitude. Amen
